The Circle (Shortfilm)

The circle evokes time, or more precisely, the fragments of time that pile up in a vast scenario of unique moments and memories. It is an introspective journey of wonder and imagination through these glimpses of time. This simple form has been a character present in my work for years, it represents care, calm, and attention to achieve its ultimate perfection. We are a circle, without boundaries, beginning or end. Infinity, Unity, connection, just a circle in expansion.

This piece is part of Moco Museum collection. To be exhibited in Amsterdam and Barcelona.

WWF – We Can’t Negotiate the Melting Point of Ice

We follow the story of a young polar bear which tries to survive in the increasingly melting Arctic environment. In the film, as in real life, Arctic sea ice is melting quickly “changing the Arctic ecosystems forever, causing destruction around the planet.” This is a stark reminder that world leaders need to act now.

We used an innovative combination of 3D-Printing, Mould-Making, and Ice-sculpting to create 500 unique polar bear ice-sculptures that were then used to create the stop-motion animation. More than 1000 liters of ice were used to create the polar-bear sculptures and environment. The film, which took a year to produce, was created by NOMINT co-founder Yannis Konstantinidis, in collaboration with Marcos Savignano and Jua Braga, with music by Ted Regklis.

Moon Knight

A dynamic vignette about the bizarre and fractured realities of Marc Spector a.k.a Moon Knight.
Inspired from writer Jeff Lemire and artist Greg Smallwood’s epic comic run on the character, it is a journey through death, doubt and delirium which culminates in symbolic rebirth.

POEM

About the Work
After seeing the Jomon pottery with my own eyes, I could imagine—from the unique protrusions and patterns—the scenery, natural phenomenon, the appearance and movement of living things, the sounds, and their textures. The design that contains various fragments of information felt like a poem by the Jomon people. While they do not depict the living beings that the Jomon people consumed to survive, the artifacts conveyed their prayer and awe for the living beings that imbued them with life and I believe it is that energy that gave birth to the grotesque yet beautiful shape of Jomon pottery. This work was designed and created based on this image.
